Barley

Barley is a cereal. The Latin name is Hordeum Vulgare. She is descended from the wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum), which still excists in the Middle East. Barley belongs just as the other cereals wheat, oats, rye, millet and rice to the grass family. Germinating barley (malt) is an important raw material for beer and whiskey, but of course we use the barley as dried flower. The dried barley is gorgeous in a dried arrangement, in a dried bouquet, and even in a fresh flower bouquet.
