Helichrysum belongs to the Compositae or Asteraceae family. This is next to the orchid family one of the most extensive types of plant families. Helichrysum is also called the Straw flower because of its structure (when it is dry). The Helichrysum is therefore very suitable as driedflower and can be used in dried flower arrangements and dryflower bouquets. Also as single flower bud the Helichrysum is fantastic as decoration.
